In this case you could substitute route for options, that might
translate better, it isn't really anything to worry about.

And CC's are Continuos Controllers, they are a way of controlling
various functions on a synth, You can also use programmable Midi
Controllers (a Box with Faders or knobs) to send CCs or Draw them into
your midi sequencer to do volume fades and Filter sweeps or control midi
Effects etc.  The AN1x allows you to assign CC's to Functions via the
Matrix and control them from the knobs on the keyboard, very nice.
