My AN1x has ver 1.02 of the bios and it still makes popping noises when cold. I spoke to a Technician from Yamaha Australia about this issue and it seems to be a design fault. He mentioned that he had to re-route the grounding from one of the boards internally . Newer versions have been modified and don't suffer from this problem. I find that this problem only occurs on cold days ,after a few minutes of warming up the popping noises disappear. www.mp3.com/acidone >From: "kees balde" <c.p.balde@...> >Reply-To: AN1x-list@egroups.com >To: <AN1x-list@egroups.com> >Subject: Re: [AN1x-list] Re: Horrendous rasping noise >Date: Fri, 15 Dec 2000 10:50:11 -0800 > >Well I had this once....and my simple solution: avoid your AN-1x from cold >places....really I mean it.
