1st, welcome to the list.

2ns, regarding your question, check the "DeviceNo" setting on the
AN1x
- under UTILITY/SETUP. It's usually safest to leave it set to 'all'
unless you have more than one AN1x daisy chained off your MIDI Thru.
Furthermore, make certain the "DeviceNo" setting on you AN1x matches
the equivalent in AN1xEdit, i.e., if you changed the "DeviceNo" from
'all' to '1' on your AN1x then make certain it is set the same in
AN1xEdit. Got it? If problems persist - post back then post back to
the list. It might be something less obvious then the above.

Cubase, and Logic for that matter, are very deep programs and they
offer a lot of functionality. IMHO, it's best to keep in mind that
you
don't have to master all the features right off. There's plenty to
keep
you busy for awhile. I'd suggest you set some realistic goals, such
as
learning the basic of how the program handles Audio or MIDI first
then
tackle the other. You may want to check the following sites: http://
www.cubase.net/ and http://www.wizoo.com/ also check here at
eGroups for more lists. I know there is a popular Mac VST list here...

oh yeah, one more thing, I think that link I posted to the Quick Disc
Tutorial .zip had some Cubase/AN1x resources in it as well...

Jon
