Congratulations on the AN1x. It's a terrific virtual analog synth that will serve you well. It closely follows the standard, Subtractive Synthesis model so it's no more difficult to program than any other, i.e., VCOs, VCA, VCF, LFO's, etc. You'll get the hang of it. > I hope it will come with time... Make certain to check the Files section here at eGroups for more Voices and Utilities. There are folders for Mac & Win utilities. Also, there are plenty of files and Tips & Tricks on my site http://www.jdlx- musique.com/ > There are two questions, in short , I have: > > 1/ Is the loop editor of AN1xEdit the best way to store sequences?and what > Datas are sent to my sequencer? Could you rephrase your question, please. I don't understand what you're asking. Keep in mind that the AN1x Step Sequencer is NOT a full blown sequencer such as Cubase or Logic. It's meant to emulate the old monophonic, CV step sequencers from the late '70s and early '80s. It's good to learn to program it from the front panel of the AN1x to best understand it but it is far_more_easy to program from AN1xEdit ;-) It will output standard MIDI Note and CC events which could be recorded into your computer sequencer. > > 2/ I have downloaded a pretty "how to make sounds" tutorial from Yamaha's > site, but there's no place I could fine the disk over wich the explanations > given are dealing.. The Yamaha file names are misleading. The tutorial file names DON'T actually match up to the Tutorial .PDF. Someone on the list had begun to compile the correct voice into a file but I don't know that they ever finished. My advise: Program them by hand, or use AN1xEdit, from scratch. It's the best way to learn how the parameters interact. regards, Jon
