1) Make certain the preference in Cubase are not set-up to filter out SysEx. I may be mistaken but I believe the default setting is to filter out SysEx. Check under the MIDI Preference in Cubase. 2) Put Cubase in record stand-by mode. 3) From the AN1x, use the Bulk Dump command under Utilitiy/Setup to select what you want to dump. The AN1x is smart enough to let you choose from Scenes, Voices, System, etc. Nice touch, IMO. 4) Start recording in Cubase. 5) From the AN1x, reply 'Y' to the flashing prompt on the display to begin the SysEx dump. 6) When the AN1x tells you it has completed the bulk dump, stop recording in Cubase and save your file. Bear in mind that not all synths (and certainly not most samplers) allow you to initiate a bulk dump from the front panel. Some will only respond to a request for a SysEx transfer. Refer to the user guides for your individual synths/samplers. Hope this helps.
