Hello! After mostly working with the VL70-m + EWI3000 for the last 2 years I'm now shifting my attention to the PLG150-AN sitting in a MU100R. I really like the sounds coming out of the PLG card. The whole concept feels so much more straightforward than the often mystery shrouded ins and outs of the VL70-m. Don't get me wrong, among other things the VL does some emulations I've never heard before. Having worked with analog stuff like the Oberheim SEM and Serge Modular since the mid 70's, one definitely recognizes the different components. As a fat bonus, many new great surprises take shape with the PLG. Still I have noticed very few postings regarding AN1x/PLG150-AN in conjunction with WC. However when it comes to WC response, the PLG150-AN differs from all other digital, analog, and hybrid models I've used together with my different wind controllers, EWI, WX7, and Lyricon Wind Driver. It doesn't respond well to the CC7 being generated by the wind sensor of the EWI. It's impossible to get the same distinctive attacks like the ones being generated by simple finger movements. It seems like the whole attack portion disappears, just leaving a numb, very different replica of the original sound. Fast tiki-tak-tata type of tounge attacks has never been a problem with the VL70-m, it tracks easily. Not so with the PLG. OK, when I turn off the EWI wind sensor output, no problem. Then, the PLG is as fast as the VL70-m. I guess I can map the wind sensor to do something different, but I'm really used to control volume with it. Anybody has a remedy for this problem. Regards, Lars
