That´s simply the typical "Roland"sound. Clean and Hifi-like. A Virus 
e.g. sounds more raw, but also more thin. Or a Nordlead, fresh, mean 
but fat. And so on...

What i wonder though is...does every An1x sounds the same? Or does a 
Stock-A AN1x sounds different from a Stock-C AN1x? (Different OS, 
different DSP´s and so on)
