The LED flashing is normal - Weird, but something all AN1x's seem to do for
no apparent reason.
12Volts/1.0Amps is the *only* specification (other than your 110V local
supply) that you have to consider.
Are there any electronic specialty shops you can try? They are readily
available in Australia for under $30. But, I can certainly appreciate that
you should get one as part of the original purchase. I'm sorry to hear you
your having so much trouble.
