i'm on this quest too. love my an1x but i focus on the feel of the knobs when i am tweaking them (which is constantly of course), going from some of my other gear and/or my buddies (dsi,roland tr-8, rythmn wolf etc) the knobs feel so nice, sturdy and grippy. have found some stuff on line but not sure about the fit, does anybody have the exact shaft measurements?
