This is an extremely easy repair to do. No need for a repair shop, really no need at all. All you need to know is how to use a screwdriver. This thread shows some pics of the innards of the AN1X. http://www.pianoworld.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/1456465/NEKID_PICHURES_Yamaha_AN1x.html Remove EVERY screw on the bottom of the AN1X. The top photo shows the battery in the middle (the round silver coloured thingie). It's easy to replace. Type number: *3v CR2450* Second picture of the link above shows the battery top left. Oh and don't forget to backup your sounds if you care about them :D Grtz Ernst On Mon, Feb 11, 2013 at 9:38 PM, Philip Sharp <PilafDM@aol.com> wrote: > ** > > > Thank you, J.F. > > I am not a DIYer, sadly. > I will try to find a repair place here in San Diego. :) > > Thanks again! > > Cheers, > Phil > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Jeff jf.serviere@wanadoo.fr> > To: AN1x-list AN1x-list@yahoogroups.com> > Sent: Mon, Feb 11, 2013 11:24 am > Subject: Re: [AN1x] AN1x freezes on initial screen during bootup > > pilafdm a crit : > > > > So, my lovely AN1x has begun to hang at the "Yamaha 1997" (or whatever > > the first screen says) during the bootup process. > > > > One person suggested it was because I was using a 3rd-party power > > source, so I bought the real deal and saw no improvement. > > > > I have tried holding the keys down for a factory reset.
