Hello !
if you need another keyboard : AN1x . Very under rated instrument, can 
be cheap second hand, but very impressive despite its limitations (10 
note polyphony, "multi function" knobs). The keyboard itself is good 
too, not to firm but enough, with a good after touch. You can find a lot 
of demos on YouTube. Have a look at :

if you need only an expander : Novation Nova, but a bit too expensive 
and sounds too close to the Obie 12 IMHO.

More "exotic" : Yamaha AN200 or RedSound Elevata. Both are expanders.
The first one is "half an AN1x packed with a rythm machine". Very funny 
little box, but a bit too limited, more a "groove box" than a standalone 
synth

The second is a rare english V.A. synth with its own sound, very "raw" 
and "old school", but it's a "hate it or love it" instrument. Very user 
friendly and flexible, multi timbral and 16 note polyphonic, but it has 
no in board effects, only a basic chorus / phasing, no 4 pole VCF. With 
this one : try it before buy, the sound is very special (of course most 
of the preset sucks, as on most synths...).

I was very impressed by the Roland JP 8000 but the polyphony is only 8 
note, no after touch....one of the early VAs with the Nord Lead. I never 
tried Korg's VAs...
