Hello Justin,

The problem is that there is no OMS driver for your E-mu Xboard49 MIDI Interface. The E-
mu device is "too new" and E-mu does not provide OMS drivers for these devices.

I never had success with MidiBridge9X (it never did leave the public beta phase - hahaha),
but I believe the intent was to provide inter application communication between apps
running under Classic and OS X. Unless there's something you absolutely, positively need
to run in Classic along side a modern application, I would bail out on the MidiBridge9X
experiment.

What you need for AN1xEdit to run under Classic is a USB MIDI Interface that has OMS
drivers provided - such as something from the M-Audio MidiSport series. From
experience I know the MIDISPORT Uno 1x1 will work. I had mixed results with the
MIDISPORT 2X2 and an Opcode branded USB MIDI Interface - neither were too reliable. The
Uno 1x1 was okay for transmitting a limited number of Voices in one pass, but full bulk
dumps were problematic.

User's on this mailing list have found success with MOTU Fastlane models. I've found an
old Emagic MT4 to be very reliable (another user reported the same with an Emagic
Unitor.) You might want to search eBay for a second hand deal on of the above mentioned
models, but it's very unlikely your Xboard49 is the solution.

Good luck!

Jon
