Compared to my Vintage Keys the AN1X is too loud.

Even when the effects are turned off, the EQ is on. Normalize the EQ 
(make sure no frequency is being boosted or cut). That will help.

It would be nice if there was a way to use filters without changing the 
volume but I don't know of any synthesizer that does that.
