Re: Sound problems with AN1x

2008-02-14 by Arthur Alexander Crichton

Haha its been along time since someone has called me Alex:) Ok, I
have removed the left and right line outputs and left the headphones
in. So far the problem has disappeared. I will disconnect the
headphones and connect the line outputs and see if the problem
returns.

I'll report back if there is any probems.

Cheers

Arthur

analog output circuit: dry solder joint, bad contact or some "ill" op
amp or transistor that goes out when hot. The heat related failure is
probable because it works well for a short time and after the sound
decreases, a contact problem would occur more irregularly. I'm not at
home currently, so i cannot open mine to tell you what to look and
where. I don't think it is a fatal issue at all, but it could take a
long time to find the faulty part.
