Apparently, they did develop a rack-mounted AN1x (the AN1r), but it was 
cancelled just before commercial launch. Don't ask me why.

Apart from the AN-200 and the PLG cards, the rack-mounted EX5R has 
limited AN capability (2 voice, or 1 voice if you put it in dual mode. 
It's also 3U high, just slightly shorter than it is wide (19"), and one 
beast of a synth. But it's stretching it a bit to count as what you're 
looking for.
