Crap... "of war and peace , the truth just twists" as said the poet.. On my own CZ i've programmed the bass synth line sound of "Phaedra" (by Tangerine Dream), using the envelope unusually to get a fake echo, the "real" lead sound of the well known "Oxygen" by J.M.J., a Klaus Schulze space pad in "Moondawn"... just add a few external reverb, there is none in any CZ synth, and here we are. Don't forget these keyboards are 20 years old... Someone has posted a message one or 2 years ago about a project of "old school" case for his AN1x, no more news.. I'll be interested in such mods... One suggestion: the main part of the case , where the knobs and switches are , could be a folded metal sheet, the main issue is the amount of rectangular holes for these switches. If you have a friend in metal work job... or a cooperative professional in your neighbourhood. Each side and the front part under the keys can be simple pieces of wood, but that would be a much more easier task for a DYIer. @+ J.F. > Message du 01/02/08 20:50 > De : "Johanes Emmanuelli" > A : AN1x-list@yahoogroups.com > Copie à : > Objet : Re: [AN1x] lead synths patches as promised! > > > Crap!I thought so..I had the CZ101 4 times, the CZ3000 1 time(it had > the synth brass sound as a PRESET!),cz230s 1 time,(it too has that > preset but it is brass ensamble like in the SK1),and lastly I had the > CZ1 1 time and for dirt cheap!!Oh well..Maybe some one knows of a > SOFTWARE CZ1 synth? In the mean time,my lovely AN1x does the tricks I > love and soon I will rebuild the case out of WOOD folks..I will post > pics and instructions AFTER I do it first.I will make those aftertouch > sensing pots as panel knobs too! > > --- In AN1x-list@yahoogroups.com, Jeff ...> wrote: > > > > > > Hello! > > OK, that's fine for your patches! > > For the Casio CZ, don't be fooled by the old age of these synths, > they are relatively complex (i have one, still going strong since it > was made in 1981!).
