Everything else seems
straight after standard, or does the US power-net use different Hz?

This has already been successfully answered, but I just wanted to clarify that the 50/60Hz difference relates to the oscillating cycle of the Alternating Current (AC) power supply. Once the power is 'transformed' to 12V Direct Current (DC), the Hz cycle becomes irrelevant.
