The Yamaha AN1x Synthesizer mailing list

Hi --

I'm hoping that someone is, like me, a big fan of Brian Eno's synth 
solos -- on the first two Roxy albums; his own HERE COME THE WARM 
JETS; Nico's THE END, etc. 

When the software EMS SYNTHI A-VS came out I was ecstatic ... but 
it's proved a disappointment. 

But tonight, playing around with my humble living room studio setup, 
between a couple adventurous twists of the AN1X control matrix knobs 
and some unsubtle jabs at the ribbon control, suddenly I found myself 
in serious "Paw Paw Negro Blowtorch" territory! 

What would really be a dream come true for me, however, is to 
emulate Eno's synth solo on "Editions of You" (second Roxy lp). 

Can anyone offer any tips?

My rig, such as it is, also includes the AN200, a Yamaha CS-5 (which 
I control with Kenton Pro Solo) plus a rackmount Korg MS2000.
