"without music, life would be a mistake" ----- Original Message ----- From: Steve Cooke <snip>Thanks Jon, but I've discovered that this issue can't be fixed. Searching through the DX200 discussion list's archive, I found exchanges covering this topic, which revealed that the pitchbend wheels can only be used to control the 200 series on MIDI channel 1. Channels 2 to 16 don't respond to such control messages at all. I'd set up my AN200 synth part to be controlled on MIDI channel 4 because the Red Sound Systems DarkStar I use alongside it automatically defaults to channel 1. So that's why the AN200 isn't responding to my keyboard's pitchbend wheel. Quite an annoying limitation, I think. Why would anyone program in such a constraint on user flexibility? It surely wouldn't have cost Yamaha any more to make the AN200 responsive to pitchbend control data on all MIDI channels. I guess I'll have to live with it, though. Regards, Steve Cooke smcooke@...
