No Contrast adjustment.

Unfortunately, yes.

It is not a result of the borken key, Aftertouch on the AN1x is very sensitive. 

Using the Control Matrix under the [VOICE/SCENE SETUP] menu you can scale the Depth 
amount when AT is assinged as a Source to a Parameter in a Voice , but this doesn't affect 
AT which appears at the MIDI Out. So when used as a controller for other devices you'll 
need to employ some other method to scale or filter AT at your MIDI Sequencer or MIDI 
module(s).
