Re: [AN1x] Using a foot for scene switching?

2006-09-14 by Jeff

Hello Lou !
do you have the user manual? If not, according to page 96 you can assign
a controller to the "scene control" :

   1. turn the matrix knob to the lower row of buttons (UTILITY - SETUP)
   2. press "device" up or down and select "scene"
   3. press "ctrl n\ufffd" to select a control change number to control "scene"
   4. press "device" again to select the controller you want to use (
for you : FS = foot switch or FC = foot controller . N.B. FV= Foot
Volume, it is not the same pedal !)
   5. press "ctrl n\ufffd" again to select the same control change number as
      in 3
   6. Done ! Don't forget to store it if it works .... the word "EDIT"
will be displayed on the screen, so do as you do to store a sound.

To be honest i never tested this setting !
A continuous controller such as "FC" would "morph" the sound between the
2 scenes, a "on/off" controller such as "FS" would toggle between the
scenes (or maybe swap scenes, the manual is not very clear on this point
....) . The foot control and the mod wheel are similar, so if it works
with the mod wheel it will work with FC. I use to "morph" between 2
organ sounds , it can sound like if you were using the drawbars of a
real organ.... depending on how are the 2 different "scenes" .
Cheers!
J.F.
