Right, the problem is not severe enough to worry about a repair at this late date.

I can appreciate your aggravation. When I had the repair performed by Yamaha - way back 
when - it took much longer than was necessary because the dealer had not actually sent it 
to Yamaha as they told me they had for many weeks on end(!) Yamaha on the other hand 
was great and turned over the repair in two weeks.

I think there are one or two 'old timers' still on the list who have lived with the issue for 
years. It doesn't appear to have any long term, catastrophic effect on the synth. If memory 
serves, I think Peter K's mentioned the output of his AN1x will sometimes degrade into 
stactic noise once in a blue moon, but a reset clear the issue.
