When I had the repair performed by Yamaha - way back when - it took much longer than was necessary because the dealer had not actually sent it to Yamaha as they told me they had for many weeks on end(!) It doesn't appear to have any long term, catastrophic effect on the synth. If memory serves, I think Peter K's mentioned the output of his AN1x will sometimes degrade into stactic noise once in a blue moon, but a reset clear the issue. Hope this helps. Regards, Jon
