Hello Philip!
you can use a cleaning foam (in aerosol) for computers , as you can use 
for cleaning the keyboard , mouse or screen of your PC . I've used this 
stuff with my AN1X , second hand too , and it looks like new . Turn it 
off , remove the DC supply and wipe all the dirt off . Then let it dry , 
and go !
