I had the E350. It had it's own glitchiness and an unfathomable interface. Very powerful but you never knew where you were in the wavetables. I prefer and kept the E340 cloud generator which has an identical interface and that works better with the underlying digital oscillations IMHO.

Well I had 2 259e's and 2 261e's in the past, and currently have both the terrarium and a cloud generator, and cannot help but think that if the Buchla ones had sounded the way these two sound, I would have definitely kept them. The 259e is just too annoyingly noisy IMO, and the 261e's main osc sounds too thin and wimpy, not to mention the inherent jitter of the pitch. I am not much for the euro-rack format, but these two babies have made me fall back in love with it.

Now, as far as my Buchla is concerned, it remains in a highly dignified place in my heart (and studio) with 2 gorgeous 259's (no "e" in them!), with its own character and personality.
