had an acoustic show to play tonight, and had the synth patched up already in the car, so we listened to it during setup to get in the mood. used the tempo difference meter to sorta PLL two pulse streams. the synthesized difference frequency CV speeding up one pulse stream and slowing down the other. many interesting rhythmic interactions and movements. was nice to see the meter swinging back and forth over 4 or 5 stages but not wandering off. could narrow it down to just two stages, which I did for my bandmate who I remember used to like practicing drums by hitting every drum before repeating one, but not obviously. I wonder if he noticed btw has the 250e firmware been revised to be able to put out a voltage corresponding to stage number? I heard something about that a while ago. that'd make it a bit quicker to set up with an offset of 15 (-1 modulo 16) I realize now the stage address offset must function as a scale factor, multiplying the number of retreat pulses. perhaps useful for locking up a halftime etc pulse stream. will try tomorrow.
