Subject: strings / KSR unison

Well, about the strings:
You can make good strings, but you have to use 2 channels with PWM and
slight detune. On a OB or Prophet, you will always use 2 vco's for
strings, so that's what you have to do on the CS80 too. I apply a
little HPF to remove the bottom.

Using only one channel results in no convincing strings (too bad for
CS50/60 owners), but when layered with low volume under a brass-sound,
you get this nice reverb-sounding sounds.

Kent,
This unison-mod sounds promissing. It will give a great result when the
voices are slightly out of tune ;-) You don't make a voice-detune pot
do you ?
I guess you can't make these mods ready for sale, so that we don't have
to ship our CS80 overseas to you ?

Have you ever played with the thought to make a digital storage for
patches (taking over the control of 1 or 2 rows under the small lid)?

Erik
