Hi
A friend of mine in Bologna is restoring a CS80 and, although it is one of the last produced , it has as obvious some problems so he asked me some advices. now, since I'm not a tech, I submit these problems to you....
1. On channel 1 the "Initial Level" slider seems to work with a reversed polarity...the result is like the IL slider behaves like the Attack Level...
2. the M-26 voice card has problems only with presets "CLAVICHORD2" and "GUITAR2": with low velocity the card doesn't produce sound whilst , with higher velocity action, the voice is played ; with user presets and panel sounds the voice card M26 behaves normally.
3. On the M-28 voice card there is a background noise when the footage ( CH-II )is set at 2' : the Square waveform suffers from this noise when the PW is set at 50% but the noise is reduced if the PW percentage is increased; the Sine has the noise but the Sawtooth hasn't it
4. the A# key on the 3rd octave doesn't respond to velocity
5. the D1 key behaves strangely : if it's played monophonically it does respond to velocity and AT, while , if played into a chord, doesn't respond any more to none of the above.
Can you help me?
Thx
Max
