I did a big overhaul of a CS-50 including:

Change of all CMOS.
Recap of all Caps (ceramics, mylars, Polystyrene, tantalum and aluminium electrolytics changed to Panasonic FC series)
Changed all open type trimers for closed multi turn one´s.
Total recalibration
installed Kenton MIDI kit.

Now it stays rock solid in tune.

Have a CS-60 and a 50 at home for the same work.
Noticed CS-60 has all IG chips in low cost sockets (They will be desoldered and replaced by
high quality gold plated one´s)

Also have done a complete socket change on a memorymoog with one voice
dropping out of the autotune routine, with new sockets for all the CMOS and Analog IC´s
the voice will not be dropped but still is quite out of tune. It did have a few other issues which
are now gone with the socket upgrade.

Just some ideas for your CS-50.

hi, maybe this page is of interest, some good hints for repair there. http://www.cs80.com/
my cs60 is still working perfect, but i´m also thinking about changing some parts. especially the (standard) ic´s on the KAS and old capacitor (on the PSU) should be changed, this also should solve your problems.
