Hi all, so as previously stated, I took on an ailing CS80 to bring back to working condition. Hoping for confirmation on something:
The first order of operation is to get all 8 voices triggering properly. currently, what I see at the main output is this: NONE of VCO 1 voices are being heard at main output-i get a very faint tick/white noise upon key trigger. on VCO 2, three voices will trigger when cycling thru 1-7. oddly, if i sustain 8 keys, i get 6 of 8 voices triggering, with a rise in the pitch of ALL voices the further i get into all 8 being triggered.
i have replaced/socketed all the logic IC's on all 5 lower boards, as well as the elec caps, and poly/film caps on the SH board.
when checking the voltages of the KAS board, points TR1-TR8 all throw from +3v to about -6V when triggered. my 2 questions: can i assume that the gates are opening properly on the KAS board? and B), to check pitch voltages, should i be looking at test points K1-K8 for something between 0V-5V or so?
thanks for any help!-RJ
