No Max, the PSU's on both my CS80's have been totally uprated with new caps, and IC's! I think it's just the luck of the draw - personally I don't think these custom chips are ∗that∗ solid, that's why I bought my CS70M - it has 12 VCO chips inside plus a few others... VCA, Filter etc... unfortunately it don't have the 152 VCF-EG chips...;c(
I love the thing, just love playing it - but have resigned myself to acepting that one day it won't be working as I have had to start removing parts!
This is why I was and am so interested it Old Crow's project of recreating the entire 'M' board. Hell, just a retro-153 VCO chip would do me! How's is Scott getting on with that project anyone know? Scott, are you there?
