Subject: Re: VCF-EG problem on CS-60

This has reminded me of the one time (a couple of years ago) I tried calibrating the 'M' boards as per the service manual, and finding that everything went well - until I got to this exact part!... VCF - the VR15, VR19 and VR18 section. (Infact VR18, in my manual, is marked on the circuit diagram as 'VR8', just to confuse matters!!)

Anyway, there was no way I was geting anything like the waveforms shown in the 'specifications' column on the chart for this part - "Attack Time" and "Sustain Level"

Maybe I was wrong expecting to see that envelope drawn there on my oscilloscope? Confused me though!

Either way - reading those charts, specifically in the 'How To Adjust' column... it isn't really well written and not too clear as to what you are required to do or are looking for. I was wondering if anyone here 'in the know' could maybe re-write those instructions for us?

Good Luck with your adjustments Max - let us know how you get on.

Cheers,
TOM
