Don't be so hard on yourself, are you sure Keith ever took time to hear it? You did an admirable job!

I think he would have smiled when or if he would have heard it.
He probably went for the path of least resistance, and getting the CS-80 there would have posed some navigational/financial challenges. No?

Subject: [yamahacs80] My CS80 recording uploaded...

Hi guys,

With all this talk about letting each other hear our CS80s I
remembered something I recorded almost exactly a year ago... it was
then that Keith Emerson was due to be playing the Led Zeppelin do at
the O2 arena. He was wanting to get the GX1 sounds on that gig and I
was asked (by our very own David Rogoff who had been discussing this
with Keith) if I would let him use my CS80, get it to London, set it
up for him etc.. as it gets pretty close to the GX1 sound.

I was up for it (obviously!) and for a little while I even felt I was
on ∗standby∗ but it didn't happen. He ended up using some GX1 samples.
...;^(

I wanted to let Emo hear what the thing sounded like so, as I was just
working out "Country Pie" off the '5 Bridges' album by The NICE- I
decided even though I didn't know it properly, (yet) to put what
little I did know of it down using the CS80. I've uploaded the result
- when you hear it you'll probably see why he didn't go for it..!!

It's in our files section here called: CS80_CountryPie

Cheers,
TOM
