Probably additional sound effects (think Leon´s interview at Tyrell, before he shoots down Holden) and noise drones in the background.

Never had my hands on a synthesiser other than an EMS that could produce such an awful plethora of noise. If it weren´t that big, I´d probably own one.

The CS-80 of course was the main synth but according to Sound on Sound
a CS-40 mono synth was used also
Can anyone please tell me what the CS-40 mono synth was used for in
the Blade Runner soundtrack--eg parts
