The problem is that, when you keep it powered up for an extended period of time, the preset selector lights will melt the translucent plastic caps (String 1 and 2 are especially prone for that). A friend of mine once bought a CS80 from Angelo Branduardi“s keyboard player who had done exactly this, and the first column of preset selectors was not only completely bleached but also slightly melted.

Is it safer to leave CS powered up for say 8 hours a day even though
it may only be used for 30mins -60mins a day?
This is to avoid switching on and off and maybe placing stress on
components
