Thanks guys! I am absolutely no stranger at all to the
recap operation. I have a lot of gear and have rebuilt
several power supplies.

Regarding the caps, should I go all out "Computer
Grade"? What brands and temp ratings have you all used
in your rebuilds?

Has anyone ever tried the variac thing with an old
synth?

I was thinking I could ramp up the voltage over the
course of about a day- but I wasn't really certain how
the regulators would take to that. I thought you could
ramp it up and then hit the reset line on the CPU but
maybe that's just wishful thinking.

Should the regulators be changed as well?

I don't have the service manual to the CS-80. Can
anyone tell me what the electrolytic values are? Where
is the best place to obtain a copy of this legendary
doc? cheers, [w]
