Just about all P6s are now, if it has not already been done, in dire
need of a new battery. I've repaired about 35 KLM-367 boards (the one
with the battery on it that takes most of the corrosion damage) to date.

Unless the damage is really severe, just about any P6 can be repaired
due to the battery for about $10 in parts and $50-$100 in labor, depending
on who fixes it. (Of course if you can repair boards yourself, it becomes
much cheaper).
