Crow's boards are very easy to use -- bought one of his bare boards a
few months ago, repopulated it with the components from the old board
(plus a few new CMOS & opamp ICs) and it worked just fine.
MIDI for the Polysix isn't that expensive... (if you're not talking
about FULL MIDI).
Speaking of which, I have a fully repaird Polysix (with MIDI IN) for
sale for $275.
