Hi,
I may have a similar problem. When calibrating the EG Intensity and trying to get the frequencies all 5kHz, at least three of the voices are well outside this range. There is no adjustment procedure to bring individual voices into the 5kHz range, only VR4 which adjusts all the voices at once.
I've replaced the 2044 and 2056 chips which has zero effect.
