There are two ways to control the MG modulation amount. The MG wheel adds the LFO signal to the control voltage for the oscillator, so it varies the pitch. The MG Level control can also send LFO signal to the oscillator or the filter or the amplifier, depending on how the MOD switch is set. This signal can be delayed using the MG Delay time knob. To remove all MG effects you will need the MG wheel all the way down and the MG Level control off.
Yes, the Frequency is the speed of the LFO.

In other words, if I turn the MG wheel all the way down, will this "shut off" the LFO?

Does the Frequency knob control the "speed" of the modulation, while the MG wheel controls "how much" modulation there is? Does that sound right?
