Hallo!

>Its been so long since I saw a post that I forgot I was ∗on∗ this list! I have a question for everone.. Anybody have their P-6 midi'd? I'd like to >hear if you do or not what your opinions are.. I've thought about getting it done but I also would not want to take even a .00000001% chance >in harming my beloved synth. Hope you all and yer P-6's are doing well...

I midified my Poly61 (which has a very similar keyboard circuit) last week.
I designed a 8 by 8 matrix with decoupling diodes (used 4 matrix switches MT8816 from MITEL)
controlled by an 89S8252 microcontroller (also a 8751 would do the job).
It works fine! No traces have o be cut. Just connect the keyboard to my board, and
two cables from my board to the main board and install the midi-interface board and
midi channel selector (Thumbwheel switch).

But you can not change parameters... It is just a midi controlled keyboard!

Ciao
Peter
