Hi LFO,
The old production has a little brown pcb (called KLM396) placed on
top of KLM366. It has part of the key-assigner-section on it.
It seems as if the first KLM366 design had some mistakes in design
and
they solved it with this addition. about 10, or 15 wires whick come
from KLM396 are soldered to different points om KLM366, (to legs of
ICs or to via's).
Later on KORG redesigned KLM366 and integrated the hardware of 396 on
366. This is called new production. They also added 4 potmeters on
the
board for more precise calibration of the board.
I have an Old Production Polysix. The serialno is 3817XX.
i have pics of the old and the new board. and i have the
servicemanual. With this its easier to show the differences.
