The Poly6 requires 10 mins warm up time before attempting to
calibrate it so this should answer your question. I find that most
P6's I've used have a few seconds of the pitch stabilising after
power up so it sounds normal to me. As long as it's in tune after the
10 min period I'd guess the unit is ok.
