that if the traces to the processor or IC31 are damaged you possibly
will not get any sound? Does this also hold true if you try to play
it in "manual mode"?
I did take out the old battery and tied in a fresh battery to see if
I could get sound out of it but no luck. There was a little acid
leak which I cleaned up and did a "quick" continuity on the traces
around the chip which seemed to be fine. Obviously that does not mean
traces underneath or the vias are good. Please confirm that in deed
if traces are bad even if in maunal mode I will not get sound.
