Hi Bernie,
I have been using the weird M300 Strings and they are pretty mellow on the high end too. They also have those weird few cello notes on the low end where the split on the M300 String section would have occurred. Hoping to use the M300B for some soft string chordal work- love the sound on "Watching and Waiting"!

The M300B is the solo violin. Do you mean the M300A? I think both sound fine on an M400, although the M300B was pretty mellow sounding (not a lot of high end). Haven't tried the Cyndee Lee Rule Viola, but I like what I heard on the library website and in some of Mike D's arrangements.
