WOW! Thanks for posting this! I somehow feel proud and connected: Jackie must be going to the same school I went to and graduated from... eeeee... a few years ago! ('69) Same too, in fact, as Christina Aguilera would have, had she not gone to a private performing arts school instead, after 12 or something. The Pine-Richland School District seems to still be particularly good at teaching and promoting the arts. I can singularly thank the Choir Director (back in mid-to-late 60s), the late Mr. William Machiko, for a great deal of encouragement and much of the musical knowledge I still use to this day. He also instilled the highest standards of professionalism in his singers, even though more than a few joined the choir merely because they THOUGHT they could sleep through it! Instead, he made them care, and made them proud. Lotsa good musicians coming from the North Hills of Pittsburgh! Even back then when I played so much around the "Tri-State" area, before moving to L.A., we all knew we were surrounded by a lot of great talent. Joe Walsh was in the area, too, from Eastern Ohio. BIG Kudos to lovely and amazing Jackie Evancho, and thanks again for posting this remarkable video, even tho' no Mellotrons were used in the recording of it. HA! Cheers!
