Tony -

I used to feel like that too, but I knew there was an 'expressive gap'in some things which would allow me to play music you knew in my ownway. The thing is that I tended to choose things which we capable ofthat type of expression. Rock music is pretty rote stuff andparticularly so those tunes no one would even dream of covering. Itwill always reek of the original.

Having said that, this cover sounded pretty slavish. If you want anedifice to Why I Hate Genesis, look no further than Suppers Ready.

Doesn't anyone compose original music anymore?
Don't get me wrong, I'm a major fan of Genesisand a lot of other bands I hear the group "covering", but to me musicis a personal expression. I also never playthe same music twice as I improvise 100% of the time.
Not at all dismissing your efforts, in fact kudosto you all, I just express MY feeling regardless of how much I admirethe work of others. I just don't care to copy them up to my maximunability.
Oh well to each their own.
