There is even a market for instruments would be immediatey identifiable. Unlike famous art, known instruments are quietly traded and ransomed back and sometimes fought over.I know many people that have to make sure their homes are extra secure or they would be robbed. I have lost a modular Moog and a Les Paul to thieves and I have had to do some cloak and dagger shit to recover gear for people I have worked for.Insurance is hard to get , hard to claim and really expensive.It isn't getting over yourself, it is being practical;
