Upon further and final reading I see the original question did not come from Chris.
Another reason to leave Chris alone.

Ha! Well something happened didn't it? I'm not mistaken.

The source was a news article and links on the net years ago. I think we discussed it on the list briefly before.

But I really don't think this is important enough to bother with.

One, it's off topic, secondly it's not about Mellotrons or related items, and three - I gave you links and suggested you make up your own minds.

In the grand scheme of things it makes absolutely no difference.

It's again - like Tony and Frank said earlier on this list - down to opinions and impressions.

I do know that if you weren't there to see what happened as a witness  - you will never know exactly what happened or how severe it was.. or wasn't.

All stories told in the news media are subject to the kindness or mean spiritedness of the press towards the subject topic.

So if you consider this story THAT important, then this should factor into your thinking about it.

Based on what I read about it ages ago, and being reminded of what my friend thought, and then seeing it again in these links now, I tend to believe it, but again - so what?

All so called truth is subjective.

It looks like this Don Henley story is bullshit. If you can't provide the source of your information, you better tell us that you were mistaken.

You got some 'splainin to do Chris.
