Subject: Re: [newmellotrongroup] Markus the Mighty...................waht?

We too like David and get on perfectly well with him.  We don't want any confrontation but it seems to me(us) that it is absurd for Markus to name a product so closely after a competitors product that it's either stupidity or a measured act of what exactly?.

I should clarify thatI like David Kean,  I knew of him via Audities outside of the Mellotron thing being involved in electronic music since the early 70s academically, as a broadcaster/ journo, producer then as a record label. A lot of people over the years have called me and asked me if he was cool, for many different reasons . He got some good stuff from some of my artists and I never interfered. A couple of times I could have hosed him just by writing a check. I always thought what he was doing was good and there was no alternative save my storage locker.  As far as I know, he has never hurt any of my friends or family intentionally, that is the place where i would draw the line.

Some of the things I might write may indicate that I have some enmity toward the man, I do not,  Disagreement or disconfluence of feelings on practices or belief are matters of opinion and not the person.

That said: If he and Markus  planned or or he condoned and communicated across a conveyance like a phone or the net. that moves things out of the civil courts and state jurisdiction to Federal (In the US). It goes into other acronym territory.  Mid you, the authorities wouldn't are about any of this unless they get help.

Theoretically , There is a simple solution to all things.  When you behave like a gentleman, your dreams come true.  There is a glass ceiling for all kinds of people.

Since Streetly was first with the M4000, you can definitely enjoin importation of his rompler into the US by filing a Restraint of Trade complaint.  This sort of harassment is the sort of stuff that US law works on.  On a civil level in the US whoever is more right prevails.

If I was distributing Streetly product in the US Dave and Markus would both have heartburn.

Ladies and Gentleman,

Markus the Swede seems to be hell bent on perpetuating friction betwixt Streetly and his goodself and we don't understand why.  He has continued with the name M4000D for his new digital 'tron according to the
mellotron.com website.  This will only serve to confuse the market place and lead people to us that would have gone solely to him.  It can work the other way also but to what end?  We really cannot understand the marketing strategy and invite comments without fear of reprisal.
