Yeah,in that way it is very limited and it is easy to run out of space even though each patch is quite small in its compressed form (I don’t understand how they are compressed). I hope that Markus’ new “digitron” has solved that problem. Considering that you can get a memory stick with quite a few gigs of memory for very cheap I don’t know why Clavia has such limitations. The NordWave isn’t really supposed to be a “sample player” as such but a virtual synth that uses sampled sound as its base,but it would be great if I could upgrade the flash rom.
 
 
   

Very good question.  The NordWave has Flash Memory 180Mb for user samples.  Isn't that extremely LOW capacity by today's standards?!

You would fill that up quick.  It looks like each unlooped Mellotron or Chamberlin "voice" is about 10 MB... So I guess you would get about 18 voices loaded at one time.
